About Me

Dr. Adetolu Ademujimi is a medical doctor, healthcare financing specialist, author, reformer, coach, public policy expert, and social entrepreneur who has authored several books & sundry literary works, and also conducted countless sessions around personal, organizational, and societal developments. He deploys his intellectual prowess and creative resourcefulness to offer think-tank services to various corporate organizations, development partners, and government entities to help resolve critical challenges.

He is an end-product of such refining educational institutions as King’s College, Lagos; Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State; and Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, where he earned & had his secondary education, Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MB.Ch.B), and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Healthcare Management, respectively. He was inducted into the medical profession by the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) in 2010.

Tolu’s healthcare trajectory spans private clinical practice, a public health career in Primary HealthCare (PHC), and the health insurance sector. He was, at different times between 2012 and now, the Chief Executive of Hope Healthcare Services; Deputy Director, Medical Services, Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency; Director, Business Development & Marketing, Ondo State Contributory Health Commission – the State Health Insurance Agency; and the Health Finance Specialist of the United States Centre for Disease Control (US-CDC)-funded Nigeria Sustainability & HIV Impact Project (N-SHIP), National AIDS, Viral Hepatitis & STIs Control Programme (NASCP), Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja. He is currently the Technical Advisor on Healthcare Financing to APIN Public Health Initiatives, Abuja.

As an author, Tolu has 9 books in his kitty. He brands himself a healing writer because of his penchant for offering remedies to the problems articulated in his writings. He is famous for his adaptation of Mahatma Gandhi’s “7 deadly public sins” to “7 demoters of Nigeria’s destiny”, out of which he has published 3 titles (Politics without Principles – in 2010; Education without Character – in 2013; Wealth without Work – in 2015; and Wealth without Work: A fantastic public sin – a revised edition in 2018) over the years. 

Adetolu is happily married to Olubunmi, who is also a medical doctor and certified Weight & Lifestyle management Coach. They have homes in Akure & Abuja in Nigeria, as well as in Ipswich, United Kingdom, where they live with their sons, Towobola and Farakanla.

His writing path began with published & unpublished articles in the last decade of the 20th century and his first published book titled National Rebirth: Expurgation of bad leadership & corruption in 2005. Tolu is also famous for his adaptation of Mahatma Gandhi’s “7 deadly public sins” to “7 demoters of Nigeria’s destiny”, out of which he has published 3 titles over the years. He is also the author of the national book on “restructuring” that questions Nigeria’s dysfunctional governance structure, titled DIAL 811: DEFT or DAFT? published in 2022.
